“Coming home from college for summer break after tearing my ACL as a first year student athlete at Notre Dame, there was a lot of stress and anxiety of getting healthier, getting my strength back and returning to running. It was very reassuring to have a PT place focused just on ACL rehab. Kaan told me to always focus on my timeline and no one else’s. I enjoyed my one on one treatment and how he pushed me each day to become stronger. It was a blessing to have someone this summer to focus solely on improving myself. I have never felt so strong and i’m only 6 months post op. I really recommend getting in touch and working with Kaan if you have torn your ACL.”

“Coming off of my first major surgery (ACL/LCL/meniscus reconstruction) I was recommended to come to Rehab and Performance Academy. I am so thankful that I did because I needed more than just strengthening my knee. Kaan was not only a PT but also a therapist when I needed help getting stronger mentally. I was challenged everyday physically and mentally and always trusted that Kaan knew what was in my best interest. Kaan and Chris make every patient their main priority and you constantly feel welcomed. I am now back at school and couldn’t be more proud of the work I put in this summer which couldn’t have been accomplished by just going to the gym alone. If I could give RPA more than 5 stars I would, they have helped me grow to become a better lacrosse player, athlete, and person in general.”

Tore my ACL/meniscus/cartilage in Feb 2020 while skiing. Had ACL recon with hamstring graft March 11th. NOBODY prepared me for the pain that comes next!!! But rest, ice, compression, elevation and pain meds and that passed quickly. Started PT the next day and had great quad strength and ROM from the start. At around week 4 I started researching more on ACL protocol to make sure I was doing all of the essential work and nothing was being skipped in my therapy sessions (I’m a PTA and also a naturally curious person). While searching other people’s stories on IG I came across Kaan and the ACL Academy. I messaged him with a couple questions and he responded right away. He also noticed I had more swelling than he would like to see and told me what I should and shouldn’t be doing. I went to my rehab session one more time after talking with him and realized I wanted more one on one care that pertained to MY knee and not just the timeline that’s ‘supposed’ to be followed.
Making the switch from outpatient therapy to ACL Academy was very simple. Kaan made me feel like he cared about my knee and my journey and helping me. And if it didn’t work out then I knew I could always go back to the clinic. Right away he did a very thorough evaluation and gave me my plan and it felt amazing knowing my plan was based off of my needs. Like he always says, my injury, my surgery, my journey. And he is so right. He has been there for every single question, worry or doubt and answers it all with positivity and a plan. I am almost 3 months out and have come a long way. And as FAR away as my goals feel, I know ACL Academy will continue to progress me along the journey and get me to where I want to be.

“Kaan is very knowledgeable in all areas of rehab. He is very personable and uses a very kind and caring approach. I have used the ACL Academy for my knee after my second ACL surgery over the last few months and I’ve been very happy with the care and results. There is a comforting feeling when your orthopedic Dr asks which facility you plan on using for physio and you answer Dr. Kaan Celebi’s ACL Academy and your doctor gives a big thumbs up!
Highly recommend if you are looking for excellent care, and a truly caring physical therapist. My knee feels much better, I’m back to running and all the tests showed good results.”

Choosing to partner with the ACL Academy has been one of the best decisions I have made during my ACL recovery journey. Kaan and the ACL Academy guided me through one of the most difficult chapters of my life and helped me overcome what I thought was impossible. From the get go, Kaan has been attentive, encouraging and extremely thorough. He has pushed me when I needed the extra motivation and provided reassurance and encouragement when I was struggling mentally. His pre-surgery and post surgery programming has been phenomenal and has helped me make gains faster than anticipated. The ACL Academy put me back together physically and mentally. My journey is far from over, but the information Kaan has taught me will no doubt be the key to continuing to live the life I want.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Priceless and incredible experience with The ACL Academy. When my insurance cut me off and said I was fine since I could walk again. I knew I still needed help, I couldn’t sit cross legged on the floor, I couldn’t squat all the way down, I could barely do a single leg calf raise but most of all I couldn’t run with out a lot of pain. I wanted all of the things back I use to have. Kaan helped me with all of that and more. Mentally and physically I can say I was supported and given all the tools I needed to get me back again. I set a new all time PR for running 3 miles and have better muscle tone than ever! From the bottom of my heart I am thankful and would 💯percent recommend to anyone.

When I first tore my acl, I didn’t know where to start. I went to see a few surgeons because I wanted the best of the best but even though they’re great at the surgery part, they weren’t very helpful with what I should be doing day to day prior to surgery. I found the ACL academy on instagram and reached out to Kaan for a 15 minute phone call. After about 2 minutes on the phone, I knew I’d be signing up to work with him. Just as I wanted the best surgeon, I also wanted the best PT. I learned way more in about 10 minutes than I had from 3 surgeons and tons of online articles. He started me on a daily program of exercises I’d do twice daily which made the world of a difference. I went from being on crutches for a week after injury to walking normally and fully bending my knee in another few weeks. Prior to surgery, both my legs felt great. .Mentally Kaan helped me prepare for surgery and although I was freaking out about it, taking everything day by day and not thinking about having to rehab after surgery really helped. I don’t know how I’d be where I am today without having Kaan’s help, encouragement, knowledge and advice for the months after surgery. He definitely knows his stuff and I don’t think I’d trust many other people to help me with my recovery.

I’m 29 years old from Manchester, England. I am currently 11 months post op after having multiligament surgery in my right knee. I had an ACL reconstruction using a hamstring graft, MCL reconstruction and an internal Lateral brace fitted. I injured myself playing rugby. I did lots of pre hab before my surgery and couldn’t have been in a better position to have surgery. I thought I would bounce back, however, I had little guidance from the physio I had from the hospital . Long story short I had hardly progressed atall in 9.5 months and I was physically and mentally drained. Constantly being in pain and my return to the gym and rugby looking like it would never happen again. I found Acl Academy on instagram and had followed the page since my op. I loved seeing the posts daily and after using numerous physios here in England I’d never been given any of the advice Id seen on the page. I messaged Kaan and he has been nothing but supportive since. We had a voice call and he listened to me and my frustrations and got to know me as a person and how I was feeling. A few days later we had a video call where he analysed my knee and looked at my ranges and limitations to determine a way forward. I have been with the ACL academy now for 6 weeks and have progressed to full extention and can now walk without a limp. Even my 9 year old son says to me now “mummy you can walk properly” The swelling and fluid in my knee has reduced dramatically and week by week my flexion is getting better. I can’t thank Kaan enough for showing me that there is still light at the end of the tunnel. He is always positive and always there when I have a question or feeling negative. The app is so easy to follow with video explanations. I’m so happy I decided to take the leap and message Kaan. I can’t wait to see more progression in the coming weeks!

Hi!! My name is Guillermo and I live in the south of Spain, concretely in Málaga. Six years ago, I tore my ACL in a soccer match. Because I was in Madrid studying my dentistry degree I decided not to go on a surgery by that time. When I finished the degree I came back home and made the decision: I’m going to have my knee operated! The surgery was scheduled on the 12th of February 2020. I knew it was going to be a long and hard time. The rehab began with a pt wich is a friend of mine and the pt from my insurance company, but I didn’t see any changes, even I noticed that the insurance pt didn’t have too much knowledge about ACL rehab. In any case, by the 14th of March here in Spain we got into the lockdown because of Coronavirus, so I had to stay at home and I did my own rehab guiding by what those pts did and by what I watched on social media, GREAT MISTAKE! But after a month I saw that @acl_academy did a q&a session and I asked something and he answered so we chat a bit and he told me he could help with my rehab. Obviously I accepted, I was totally alone in a tough journey and he’s an ACL specialist. So I began with the rehab program a month and a half ago and it completely changed my knee and also my mentality. I’m gaining knee strength, ROM and mental strength day by day, and I see myself returning to sports closer everyday wich I think is the priority when you are into this kind of journey. To sum up, I just can say THANK YOU to the ACL ACADEMY because it has completely changed the way this recovery process was going to be, I thought it would be a disaster because of the whole situation but in some way he saved my knee. So if someone has to go on a similar process and doesn’t know what’s going to happen because of the strange situation or doesn’t trust in the insurance pt I totally recommend to call ACLacademy and go into this journey with the best possible aid.

I was struggling with motivation to get my strength work done toward the end of my ACL rehab. My operative leg was still feeling a lot weaker, but I am not a huge fan of strength training exercises. I started working with Kaan 8 months post op and he really helped me get back into it and realize the importance of strength in my rehab. Kaan is extremely supportive, positive, and knowledgeable. He changed up my program to keep it interesting and was there right away for any questions that came up. I only wish I had discovered Kaan and ACL Academy sooner!

When I first found Dr. Celebi, I was 9 weeks post injury and staring medical bankruptcy in the face. I decided to give him a shot before I threw everything I had at a surgeon. We did a video conference and within a few hours, he had some exercises recommended and a schedule made. I was nervous because I hate working out, but not only were these exercises targeted directly to my knee, they were very doable, and I got more pain relief from them than anything I had tried up to that point. That was enough to keep me with the program. Within a few weeks of following his schedule I was able to get into the shower without help, complete daily tasks like cooking and doing the dishes, as well as start thinking about getting that brace off. Dr. Celebi was a step ahead of me and made sure to stress the psychological aspect of removing a brace after so long. It was harder than I thought, but he got me there. Using the routine he gave me, then tweaked as I got stronger, I am able to resume my normal activities, things like walking and gardening. He helped me get my life back after thinking I may wind up a cripple due to no insurance. I went from having pretty high pain scores of 6/8 at night to 0 in a few short weeks of doing less than a half hour of repetitive exercises that take very little effort. I saved a whole lot of money by giving him a shot, and I now have a new routine in place that will be with me long after I am no longer in the program. Joining up changed my life, in a really great way. It’s so worth it!!

I had ACL surgery and completed 10 months of physical therapy. At about a year and a few months past ACL surgery and post discharge of PT, I was frustrated. My strength levels were not where I wanted them to be and I wanted to get back to activities I loved. I was discouraged thinking I’d never get there and it was too late. Covid lockdown happened and I was at a complete standstill. I didn’t have a solid plan to follow and felt lost. I found Kaan’s instagram page and appreciated the information he provided. I reached out to him and after a phone conversation I felt confident he could help me get back to running and the strength finish line. I was so happy with the program, support and accountability that Kaan provided! Kaan set up my account with an interactive app of tailored exercise and set up weekly check in’s. Kaan also understands and helps with the mental aspect of healing. Assisted with goal setting, visualization, and journaling everyday. Anytime I had questions I could message Kaan and he was very responsive. His dedication to my recovery was amazing. I truly felt supported. Today my strength levels are fantastic and I’m happy to say I’m back to ramping up my running program. There was a time I thought I’d never get back to what I love but with Kaan’s guidance and my hard work, I’m positive I’ll continue to lead an active life I love Contact Kaan today if you feel lost in your ACL journey to healing! You won’t regret it!

Before coming across ACL Academy, I felt I had no structure in rehabing and the strenghtening of the muscles around an ACL- less knee. I am not an athlete, but I do have an active lifestyle and do sports often. And I chose to go conservatively, without surgery. The strength and mobility exercises captured in the ACL Academy are great – there are many 😂 (one needs consistency to pay off right?!) but are truly great! Mobility helped loads not to have the pressure in front of my knee and the aductor tendon issues that occured along the way. The strength exercises are built gradually and are changed from one week to another, as you develop. Having a structured program supported dissipating the anxiety and fear that developed following the accident: there are fantastic mental exercises and Kaan is a great coach! He is truly there, with constant support and advice. Plus he is a great human being! 😊 Highly recommending ACL Academy to anyone who struggles or feels lost in this hard recovery path! 💪🏻

I had worked with three other PT’s and felt that I wasn’t getting a personalized rehab plan. I had lost hope. I started working with Kaan when I was 8 months post op. He helped me get back to mountain biking and playing hockey! He will guide you physically and mentally throughout the process. I couldn’t have done it without him. Thank you Kaan!!!
